Philippine Airlines (PAL), the nation’s flag carrier, is increasing both flight frequencies and capacity to meet the rising international travel demand during the holiday season, aiming to provide passengers with smoother and more flexible travel experiences.

PAL is bolstering its presence in the Philippines–Australia sector by adding flights and deploying larger aircraft during the busy travel period.

From mid-December 2025 through mid-January 2026, PAL will double its Manila–Perth flights from three to six weekly services. Concurrently, Manila–Melbourne flights will grow from five weekly to daily operations.

To support this growth, PAL will upgrade some Manila–Brisbane flights to its tri-class Airbus A330 widebody aircraft, replacing the usual Airbus A321neo. Perth routes will continue to use the Airbus A321neo, while Melbourne flights will be served by the larger A330-300.

“As the country’s flag carrier, we remain dedicated to expanding our network, meeting strong demand, and connecting travelers to more destinations during the busy travel season,” said PAL President Richard Nuttall. “This commitment also includes delivering world-class service, heartfelt care, and the warmth of Filipino hospitality on every journey.”

In addition to Australia, PAL is increasing flight frequencies on key international routes.

Starting October 26, 2025, the Manila–Da Nang route will operate daily until March 28, 2026, up from three weekly flights. Over the same period, flights between Manila and Busan will increase from seven to eleven per week.

PAL is also boosting services to Japan this holiday season. The airline is resuming seasonal non-stop flights between Manila and Sapporo, offering thrice-weekly service from November 24 to March 27.

An extra twelve roundtrip flights will be added between Manila and Narita from December 18 to January 6, supplementing the usual two daily flights. Likewise, the Manila–Osaka route will see twelve extra roundtrips from December 19 to January 7, in addition to the current two daily flights. On December 25, 27, and January 3, travelers can enjoy three additional round trips between Manila and Nagoya, beyond the daily service.

PAL is also increasing Cebu operations to bring holiday cheer to frequent flyers in the Visayas and Mindanao. Between December 25 and January 3, five extra roundtrips will be offered between Cebu and Osaka, supplementing its 4x weekly flights. Additionally, four roundtrips will be added on the Cebu–Narita route from December 28 to January 7, above its daily service.

Beginning December 16, PAL will launch thrice-weekly nonstop flights between Cebu and Guam, highlighting the airline’s ongoing commitment to expanding regional access and meeting growing demand for convenient travel between the Philippines and the U.S. Pacific territory.

In the United States, Manila–Seattle flights will increase from three to five times weekly starting November 25, 2025. This complements PAL’s daily services to San Francisco and Guam, twice-daily flights to Los Angeles, thrice-weekly flights to New York, and five-times-weekly flights to Honolulu.

These strategic moves underscore PAL’s dedication to delivering world-class service, enhanced connectivity, and convenient travel options—providing more opportunities for travelers to discover the Philippines’ vibrant culture and welcoming hospitality.
