Philippine Airlines (PAL) announced last Friday the flag carrier’s new thrice-weekly nonstop flights between Cebu and Guam starting December 16, 2025, creating the only direct air link between the two and complementing PAL’s daily Manila–Guam service. This comes following the company’s recent unveiling of their latest Airbus A321ceo regional planes.

This expansion reinforces PAL’s leadership in connecting Guam with Southeast Asia and strengthens Cebu’s role as an international gateway for business and leisure travelers. It reflects PAL’s commitment to expanding regional access and meeting the growing demand for convenient travel between the Philippines and the U.S. Pacific territory.Flights from Cebu to Guam will depart Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 9:40 PM, arriving at 3:25 AM. Return flights will operate Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 5:15 AM, arriving at 6:50 AM, using PAL’s Airbus A321ceo.

“This service enhances Cebu’s role as a strategic gateway while giving Guam’s large Filipino community direct access to the Visayas and Mindanao,” said PAL President Richard Nuttall. “It supports economic and tourism ties between the Philippines and Guam.”

Athanasios Titonis, CEO of Aboitiz Infracapital Cebu Airport Corporation, added, “This route speeds island-to-island travel and strengthens tourism and economic exchange between the U.S. Pacific territories and Asia.”

The Cebu–Guam flights form part of PAL’s strategy to expand international reach beyond Manila. From Cebu, PAL offers direct flights to Ho Chi Minh, Incheon, Narita, Osaka, and multiple domestic destinations, enabling seamless connections across the Visayas and Mindanao.

Guam, with a Filipino community making up nearly 30% of its 179,000 residents, is a vital link in PAL’s U.S. network, which includes Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Seattle, and Honolulu. The new Cebu–Guam route expands business, tourism, and cultural ties, reaffirming historic connections.

PAL first served Guam on July 31, 1946, as Asia’s first airline to reach the U.S. mainland. Nearly 80 years later, the new Cebu–Guam flights highlight PAL’s enduring role in linking Filipinos with key global destinations.

If you’ve never been, it’s time to finally check-out Guam!
