Ferrari has unveiled the new Amalfi, a front-mid-engine V8 2+ coupé that succeeds the Roma in the Prancing Horse lineup. Designed to redefine modern sportiness, the Amalfi combines high performance, refined aesthetics, and everyday usability. It is aimed at drivers who seek exhilarating performance without compromising comfort, versatility, or style, offering a seamless balance between emotion and practicality.

The Amalfi’s exterior embraces a sleek, minimalist design language defined by sculpted surfaces and clean lines that convey both dynamism and sophistication. At the front, a wide air intake and long bonnet emphasize its performance-oriented character, housing a 640 hp turbocharged V8 engine. The traditional grille is replaced by a more contemporary floating wing design, while precise lighting elements are integrated into technical cutlines for a modern, cohesive look.

At the rear, a compact tail is defined by sharp character lines, concealed taillights, and a prominent diffuser that highlights aerodynamic intent. An integrated active spoiler enhances high-speed stability, while forged wheels and carbon fibre details complete the car’s refined yet sporty appearance.

Inside, the Amalfi features a dual-cockpit cabin that merges advanced technology with driver-focused ergonomics. A newly designed steering wheel reintroduces physical buttons for improved usability, alongside Ferrari’s signature start button.

The digital interface includes a 15.6-inch instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch central touchscreen, and an optional 8.8-inch passenger display, ensuring both driver and passenger remain engaged. Premium materials such as carbon fibre and contrasting stitching elevate the sense of exclusivity.

The 2+ seating configuration enhances practicality, allowing the rear seats to accommodate additional cargo or passengers when needed.

At the heart of the Amalfi lies an evolved version of Ferrari’s award-winning 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 from the F154 engine family. This latest iteration produces 640 hp at 7,500 rpm, with a redline increased to 7,600 rpm for a more progressive power delivery. Advanced turbocharging technology enables independent control of each turbo, improving throttle response and efficiency. Lightweight components, including redesigned camshafts and a refined engine block, contribute to overall weight reduction, while a low-viscosity oil improves cold-start efficiency and reduces internal resistance.

The engine is paired with Ferrari’s eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, delivering fast, seamless gear changes and improved efficiency, particularly in urban driving conditions. Performance figures underline the car’s capabilities, with acceleration from 0–100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and 0–200 km/h in just 9 seconds, supported by a best-in-class power-to-weight ratio of 2.29 kg/hp. The powertrain also incorporates advanced solutions such as a flat-plane crankshaft and optimized exhaust system, ensuring both strong mid-range torque and a distinctive Ferrari sound signature, compliant with modern regulations.

Driving dynamics are significantly enhanced through the integration of Ferrari’s latest control systems. A brake-by-wire system improves braking efficiency and pedal feel, while the ABS Evo controller optimizes performance across different surfaces and driving modes. The Side Slip Control (SSC) system coordinates various dynamic functions, including torque distribution and steering input, to maximize stability and responsiveness. An advanced grip estimation system further improves accuracy and reaction times, even in low-traction conditions, ensuring confidence in a wide range of driving scenarios.

Aerodynamics play a crucial role in the Amalfi’s performance. Developed through extensive computational simulations and wind tunnel testing, every element of the body contributes to airflow efficiency. The underbody features carefully engineered channels to reduce drag and enhance stability, while vortex generators and diffusers improve front-end downforce and cooling. At the rear, the integrated active wing operates in three modes—Low Drag, Medium Downforce, and High Downforce—automatically adjusting based on speed and driving conditions. In high-performance situations, it can generate up to 110 kg of additional downforce at 250 km/h with minimal drag increase, ensuring optimal balance between efficiency and stability.

The Amalfi also incorporates Ferrari’s latest Human-Machine Interface (HMI), designed to provide intuitive control and connectivity. Key functions are logically grouped on the steering wheel, allowing the driver to manage essential systems without distraction. The infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto®, complemented by wireless smartphone charging and full connectivity via the MyFerrari Connect app for remote vehicle monitoring. Optional features include a front lifter system, capable of raising the car by 40 mm at speeds up to 35 km/h, and a premium Burmester® audio system for an immersive in-cabin experience.

Safety and driver assistance are addressed through a comprehensive suite of advanced systems, including adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, blind spot detection, lane keeping assist, and traffic sign recognition. Additional features such as driver drowsiness monitoring and surround view cameras further enhance everyday usability and peace of mind.

Riding on 20-inch wheels with specially developed tyres, the Amalfi achieves a refined balance between grip, agility, and ride comfort. The tyre setup ensures responsive handling while maintaining compliance over uneven surfaces, making the car suitable for both spirited driving and daily use.

Completing the ownership experience, Ferrari offers a seven-year maintenance program covering scheduled servicing at regular intervals, with no mileage restrictions. This ensures the Amalfi maintains peak performance and reliability over time, supported by Ferrari’s global network of trained technicians.

With the Amalfi, Ferrari delivers a modern interpretation of its front-engined V8 coupé—combining performance, innovation, and everyday versatility in a package that embodies the brand’s enduring commitment to driving excellence.
