Philippine Airlines (PAL) resumes its seasonal nonstop flights between Manila and Sapporo starting November 24, 2025, with flight PR 406 departing Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 6:24 AM.

Operating until March 27, 2026, these flights will enhance access to Sapporo, Hokkaido’s vibrant capital famed for its lively city scene, premium ski resorts, annual Snow Festival, and rich culinary delights like Sapporo ramen, soup curry, and fresh seafood. This Winter Capital offers a unique holiday experience, showcasing a distinct side of Japan during the festive season.

“Reviving this seasonal route allows travelers to enjoy PAL’s renowned service and genuine hospitality while meeting the growing demand between these destinations,” stated PAL President Richard Nuttall. He added, “The return strengthens PAL’s presence in Japan, improving regional connectivity.”

The Manila-Sapporo route also invites Japanese tourists to discover the Philippines’ dynamic culture and warm hospitality.
Flights operate nonstop to New Chitose Airport on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays aboard PAL’s Airbus A321neo. This 168-seat aircraft features 12 business and 156 economy seats, with a range of inflight entertainment and Wi-Fi.

PAL maintains the largest Philippine-Japan network with direct flights to Osaka Kansai, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Tokyo Haneda, and Tokyo Narita, including Cebu connections to Osaka Kansai and Tokyo Narita.

The inaugural flight was celebrated with passengers receiving exclusive PAL merchandise. The seasonal flight schedules are as follows:
PR 406 Manila-Sapporo – every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, departing Manila at 06:30 AM, arriving in Sapporo at 12:15 PM
PR 405 Sapporo-Manila – every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, departing Sapporo at 01:15 PM, arriving in Manila at 06:15 PM
