Honda Motor Co., Ltd. today presented the world premiere of the Super-ONE Prototype, a compact EV prototype, at the Japan Mobility Show 2025. The Super-ONE Prototype will be on display at the Honda booth throughout the duration of the show which is from October 29 to November 9, 2025.

With a concept titled “e: Dash BOOSTER,” the Super-ONE Prototype was envisioned by Honda engineers as a compact EV aimed at transforming daily transportation into a thrilling and uplifting experience by incorporating various features that enhance the enjoyment inside the vehicle for customers. The name “Super-ONE” embodies Honda’s ambition to craft a car that goes beyond traditional expectations (the “super” aspect as Honda is known as a giant slayer especially in motorsports) and provides a unique value found only in Honda vehicles (the “one and only” component where Honda has a long tradition of building compact but very enjoyable cars, the storied list of which includes cars like the earlier generations of the Honda Civic, the Honda Fit / Jazz and more ).

Alongside outstanding environmental performance and everyday practicality, the Super-ONE Prototype emphasizes the distinctive fun of driving that Honda is known for. By incorporating elements that engage all of the driver’s senses into the joy of driving achievable through sporty performance unique to small EVs, the Super-ONE Prototype delivers an exciting and uplifting driving experience to customers. Honda once again wants to remind us  that you don’t need insanely fast speeds, prodigious amounts of power and physics defying grip to have fun with car and still keep your clothes on.

Building on the lightweight platform developed for N Series models, the Super-ONE Prototype offers nimble and sporty handling, hallmarks of all legendary Hondas. Its broad stance with an extended track, made possible by prominently flared blister fenders, ensures a stable and dynamic ride.

Furthermore, Boost Mode, created exclusively for this vehicle, boosts power output to fully tap the potential of the power unit, while coordinating the simulated 7-speed transmission and the Active Sound Control system to produce a strong engine sound and crisp gearshift sensation, mimicking the experience of driving a traditional multi-gear engine car. In Boost Mode, the Super-ONE Prototype stimulates the driver’s senses—including sight, hearing, and the tactile feeling of acceleration and vibration—providing an exhilarating EV driving experience.

The Super-ONE Prototype has been rigorously tested across a range of road conditions and climates in Japan, the UK, and other parts of Asia to further refine its driving capabilities. In July 2025, the Super EV Concept, the foundational model for the Super-ONE Prototype, was showcased and demonstrated on the famous hill climb course at the famed Goodwood Festival of Speed 2025 in West Sussex, UK. With its impressive performance, the Super EV Concept revealed to the world the new dimension of driving pleasure unique to Honda’s EVs.

Honda plans to launch the production model based on the Super-ONE Prototype in Japan starting in 2026, followed by other markets with strong demand for compact EVs, such as the UK and various Asian countries*.
