For decades, the Flying Spur has occupied a unique position within Bentley’s portfolio. It delivers much of the performance expected from the marque’s grand touring coupes while offering the comfort, space, and refinement of a true luxury sedan. Now, Bentley has unveiled the latest generation Flying Spur, introducing a cleaner design language, electrified performance, and a renewed focus on both driving engagement and craftsmanship.

The biggest visual change is immediately apparent.

For the first time since 1962, a Bentley sedan features single headlamps, bringing the Flying Spur’s appearance in line with the fourth-generation Continental GT. The effect is cleaner and more contemporary, helping modernize the sedan without sacrificing its unmistakable Bentley identity.

The front fascia has been substantially revised. The radiator grille is now integrated into the bumper, while the traditional wing vent detail has been removed in favor of smoother body surfaces and cleaner proportions. At the rear, a redesigned deck lid, new taillamps, and a body-colored license plate surround further reinforce the car’s more elegant and streamlined aesthetic.

The overall result is a Flying Spur that feels more sophisticated than before—less reliant on ornamentation and more confident in its design execution.

Beneath the sheet metal, Bentley continues its transition toward electrification through a range of V8 hybrid powertrains. The headline addition is the return of the Flying Spur S, a model aimed squarely at owners who prioritize driving enjoyment.

Powered by Bentley’s High Performance Hybrid system, the Flying Spur S produces 671 Horsepower and 930 Newton-Meters of torque, making it the most powerful S-badged Flying Spur ever created. Performance is predictably impressive, with 0-100 km/h dispatched in just 3.7 seconds before continuing to a top speed of 307 km/h. There’s also an all-electric range of as much as 76 kilometers based on the EU Drive Cycle, thanks to the 25.9kwh on-board battery. The best part? You can plug it in to charge the battery, keeping in-town driving gentlemanly, reserving that mighty V8 for open roads.

Yet raw numbers tell only part of the story.

The Flying Spur S receives Bentley’s Performance Active Chassis package, including Active All-Wheel Drive, torque vectoring, Bentley Dynamic Ride active anti-roll control, twin-valve dampers, and—for the first time on an S model—an electronic limited-slip differential. Together, these systems promise to make the large luxury sedan significantly more agile and engaging than its considerable size would suggest.

The visual treatment reinforces its sporting intent. Gloss-black exterior accents, dark-tinted lighting elements, black badging, and distinctive wheel finishes give the Flying Spur S a purposeful stance without compromising its elegance.

Inside, Bentley continues to emphasize craftsmanship as a defining characteristic.

The latest Flying Spur offers five distinct seating configurations, each requiring approximately 12 hours of hand-craftsmanship to complete. Buyers can choose from fluted or quilted upholstery designs, reflecting Bentley’s ongoing commitment to traditional luxury in an increasingly digital automotive landscape.

For those seeking the ultimate expression of luxury, Bentley has also introduced the Virtuoso Collection.

Available across the brand’s model range, the collection combines unique interior themes with Champagne Gold detailing and Bentley’s most advanced audio system to date. Inspired by the world of high-end musical craftsmanship, the Virtuoso Collection is offered in three distinct design themes—Soprano, Tenor, and Bass—each creating its own atmosphere through carefully curated materials and finishes. The centerpiece is the extraordinary Naim for Mulliner audio system.

Originally developed for Bentley’s exclusive coachbuilt Batur, the system features 21 speakers and technology derived from Focal’s flagship Grand Utopia loudspeakers. Designed to deliver exceptional clarity, fidelity, and realism, it represents one of the most sophisticated in-car audio experiences currently available. Think of it as your own veritable rolling concert hall.

Even the smallest details receive special attention. Champagne Gold accents extend beyond the cabin to exterior badges, exhaust finishers, collection emblems, and even the key itself.

Complementing the launch is a new exterior color called Dark Teal, a rich metallic blue-green finish that reflects Bentley’s growing preference for understated sophistication over overt extravagance.

Production of the new Flying Spur will begin at Bentley’s Crewe headquarters in September, with customer deliveries expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2026.

More than a simple facelift, this latest Flying Spur represents Bentley’s evolving vision of luxury: cleaner design, electrified performance, greater personalization, and technology that enhances rather than overwhelms. It remains, as ever, a Bentley first and a luxury sedan second—an automobile designed not merely to transport its occupants, but to make every journey feel special.

Expect it to arrive on our shores early next year!
